Nuëeva has solutions for the two most frequent requests made by men: Permanent Hair Removal and the treatment of Pigmented Lesions.

Faster and more efficient than conventional laser treatment, the Palomar intense pulsed light system offers a variety of options for permanent hair removal from the legs, back, bikini line, underarms, upper lip or any other place except for eye contours. The treatment is quick, practically painless and applicable to all skin types.
The Technology
What is the difference between laser and intense pulsed-light treatments?
Intense pulsed-light and laser hair removal systems are very similar, targeting the hair follicle itself. However the Palomar intense pulsed-light system uses a new technology which removes hair up to ten times faster than laser systems.

Fast, comfortable and permanent
Pulsed-light systems work by emitting pulses of intense lamplight directly into the hair follicles, loosening the hair and permanently disabling the cells responsible for new hair growth.
Comfortable Hair Management
Traditional waxing treatments are painful, essentially tearing the hair from the skin. The Palomar Pulsed-Light process available at Nueëva is significantly more comfortable. In addition, it is not necessary to let hair grow out before treatments since pulses of light penetrate the skin.
Fast Treatment
Thanks to its advanced technology, Palomar’s Pulsed-Light System works several times faster than other light-based hair removal systems. For example, a woman’s legs or a man’s back can be treated in less than thirty minutes. Smaller areas, such as the underarms, upper lip or bikini line can be treated in even less time.
How is Unwanted Hair Usually Removed?
Shaving
Shaving is a simple but messy and time-consuming procedure requiring a constant commitment for short-term results.
Tweezing
Tweezing is painful and highly impractical for large areas. The hair you pluck always grows back again.
Depilatories
Messy, short term procedures requiring a significant amount of time and weekly repetition. Worst of all, if depilatories are left on the skin too long they can cause severe irritation or even chemical burns.
Waxing
Waxing can cover large skin areas and may last for a month or so. This procedure is painful, can irritate sensitive skin and can only treat hair after it grows to a certain length above the skin.
Electrolysis
This procedure involves the use of a needle to apply an electric current to each individual hair follicle. In expert hands, electrolysis can successfully eliminate unwanted hair. However, you can treat only one hair follicle at a time, making it a tedious and time-consuming procedure.

We all want clear skin, but nature has a way of sabotaging us over time with frustrating imperfections. The Palomar RejuveLux™ process is the culmination of years of research, using advanced laser and pulsed light.
The Palomar RejuveLux™ process can remove blemishes, sunspots, visible veins and other imperfections with just a few quick and easy treatments.
Pigmented Lesions (sometimes called sunspots, age spots or liver spots) are sun-induced skin injuries that appear as dark brown circles, known as Solar Lentigines. There can also be diffuse browning of the skin, known as Actinic Bronzing.
Vascular Lesions are superficial blue, red or purple veins under the surface of the skin. Some common types include rosacea (facial inflammation) and spider veins (tiny vessels that appear near the surface of the face).
Rejuvenate your skin with the RejuveLux™ process!
What happens during a treatment session?
After preparing your skin, the technician will use an active hand-held device on your skin, letting it work for three to six minutes. During this phase you may feel a tingling sensation. The technician will then apply a neutralizing hand-held device.
What should I expect after a treatment?
Pigmented lesions will become slightly darker after the treatment but will disappear within 10 to 14 days. Usually visible veins will immediately turn greyish or white with some redness in the treated area. This will become less marked within 10 to 14 days. Three to four days after the treatment, it is normal for your skin to peel while it rejuvenates itself. Your Nuëeva technician will recommend a sun block and hydrating cream.
What is the difference between laser and intense pulsed-light treatments?
Intense pulsed-light systems and lasers are very similar and remove hair in basically the same way. However, the Palomar Intense Pulsed Light System uses new state of the art technology that removes hair up to ten times faster than lasers.
