Is it possible to make your pores smaller?
No, but we can make them appear smaller. Pore size is mainly determined by genetics. Larger pores are more visible because they tend to get clogged with dirt, dead skin cells and bacteria. Aging also causes skin to lose its elasticity, which can dilate pores. Sun exposure is another contributing factor.
What happens during a treatment session?
After preparing your skin, the technician will use an active hand-held device on your skin, letting it work for three to six minutes. During this phase you may feel a tingling sensation. The technician will then apply a neutralizing hand-held device.
What should I expect after a treatment?
Pigmented lesions will become slightly darker after the treatment but will disappear within 10 to 14 days. Usually visible veins will immediately turn greyish or white with some redness in the treated area. This will become less marked within 10 to 14 days. Three to four days after the treatment, it is normal for your skin to peel while it rejuvenates itself. Your Nuëeva technician will recommend a sun block and hydrating cream.
What is the difference between laser and intense pulsed-light treatments?
Intense pulsed-light systems and lasers are very similar and remove hair in basically the same way. However, the Palomar Intense Pulsed Light System uses new state of the art technology that removes hair up to ten times faster than lasers.
